We also recommend checking out the New York State certification website to better understand the credits needed to become a certified Health Ed teacher in New York, based off any credits you may already have.
In the past we had a partnership with Lehman College, which offers an 18-credit Advanced Certificate in Health Education to DOE teachers. There was a competitive application process for DOE teachers who are currently teaching Health Education. Although this partnership with our office is no longer available, teachers who are interested are welcome to apply to the Lehman College program on their own.
