Students who are physically active and fit do better in school. Physical activity is essential for fitness and strength, a healthy weight, and lifelong health. According to the national guidelines, students aged 6 through 17 years of age should get at least 60 minutes (1 hour) of moderate to vigorous physical activity each day. Participating in CHAMPS helps students:
