Principals, assistant principals of health and physical education and physical education teachers may enter student assessment scores into the NYC FITNESSGRAM application (opens in new window)


Principals can log in to view and enter school-wide data and run reports as well as enter data for all students. 


Teachers must meet the additional STARS programming and professional learning requirements listed below:


  1. STARS programming                                                                                                                                 
    • Elementary PE teachers must have 3 or more PE classes assigned in STARS.                                           
    • Middle and high school PE teachers must have PE classes assigned in STARS.

Please note that student scores and reports are confidential, and you should promptly shred any unused printed reports.


A student’s scores for any individual assessment or NYC FITNESSGRAM report cannot be displayed, made public, or shared unless the school has written permission from the student’s parent or legal guardian, or the student if they are over the age of 18. Schools may disclose records without consent to certain individuals and under limited conditions; see the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (opens in new window) for more information, and ask your principal if you have questions.
