How do I develop a SMARTIE Goal about Health Education Teachers?

Health Education Scorecard Item 1a

Overview

One of your goals may focus on improving the quality of health education by considering who teaches health classes and how they are prepared and supported to do so. If your goal is for the next semester or school year, activities should include strategic planning for your health education program, including capacity building.

As your school community’s leader and member of your School Leadership Team, your principal plays crucial roles in supporting and advancing health and wellness; it is important that they are involved with your School Wellness Council. In order to fully develop a SMARTIE goal around health education teachers, you will need to consult and collaborate with your principal and possibly others (assistant principal(s), programmer, etc.).
